Dave Haygarth this weekend secured a season victory in the North West cyclocross league in the vets (40+) category.
Dave is our Operations Director and a crazy-keen cyclist in his spare time.
He has a particular fondness for cyclocross racing — the traditional road cyclist’s off-season discipline, taking place in the worst of the winter weather.
Dave races for the PlanetX team and has had a great season so far, with consistently good results. Victory in the final round at a particularly muddy Beacon Park course was enough to seal the victory in the overall league. Dave likes the mud.
Crowning a superb weekend for the Haygarth family, Dave’s youngster Elsie also took the under-8s league victory.
Clearly a new shelf will be needed for all that silverware shortly …just as soon as he’s finished cleaning the bikes!
