Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8 is on its way…get ready for the fallout

Microsoft’s latest version of Internet Explorer is going to comply much more closely with the W3 standards (essentially the governing body of web standards). For years web developers have had to create code especially to work with older versions of Internet Explorer. Those days are coming to an end — for very good reason — with the unfortunate side effect that some sites will no longer work properly.

In fact, even Microsoft’s own site will apparently not work properly using IE8 right now.
