Google is one step ahead in on-line advertising, it seems. After the Pay Per Click success over recent years, Google is now introducing a pay for performance model called Pay Per Action. You decide what to pay based on what action you want your site visitors to perform. That might be filling in a form, visiting a particular page or even buying a specific product.
This move is the most extreme in the recent on-line trend of more targeted advertising, where an advertiser could now not waste a single penny of their advertising spend – all of it converting into real business. Itâ€™s only at Beta testing stage now in the US, but if itâ€™s successful, it could be a really big deal for small firms who are traditionally outbid on pay per click keywords.
